Safety Series: Builders Rubble

Please don’t dispose of your builders rubble in any of your wheelie bins!

Overweight bins are dangerous for you to move and dangerous for our crews to move.

Builders rubble will crack the bins and break the wheels. It will cause untold damage to our trucks; breaking the compactors and weighing equipment, putting trucks out of service. This then causes collection issues for the rest of our customers.

That’s without mentioning the possibility of pieces of tile or metal hurtling out of the trucks when they are crushed by our compactors!

Bins found to be contaminated with tiles, bricks or builder’s rubble will not be emptied and a penalty will be applied to your account.

This type of waste should be brought to a civic amenity. Or you can hire a household skip
