Pay by Weight – It’s Coming!

To encourage households to recycle more, legislation changes are being introduced in July 2016 which will see all households in Ireland being charged by the weight of waste they produce.

As part of these changes, each household will be required to pay a service charge with additional charges based on the weights of the waste in their black and brown bins.

The advantage of Pay by Weight is that it gives you more control over your waste collection charges.

The less your bins weigh, the less you will pay.
