Reduce

There are many ways you can reduce the amount of waste your household produces, such as:

• Buy long-lasting instead of disposable items.
• Choose products with minimal/recyclable packaging.
• Buy in bulk to reduce packaging waste.
• Fix broken items when possible.

Reuse

There are many household items that can be reused around the home or given to another person to reuse.

• Books & Magazines – hospitals, doctor’s waiting rooms, schools, car-boot sale, charity shops.
• Toys – hospitals, doctor’s waiting rooms, car-boot sale, charity shops.
• Good used clothing and household items – car-boot sale, charity shops, clothing banks.
• Use old t-shirts and towels as rags for household cleaning.
• Clean grout and other small spaces with old toothbrushes.
