Overloaded and overweight bins are a danger to you, to our collection teams and to the lifting equipment on our trucks and unfortunately they are more common than you might think!

 
Over the last 12 months we have recorded over 300,000 bins weighing over 40kg. Of these, more than 14,000 were over 80kg!

If our collection agents have trouble moving a bin because it’s overweight or overloaded, there is a chance it may not be emptied.
 
If you are having trouble fitting all of your waste into your current bins, contact us as soon as possible. Our Customer Services team would be happy to advise you of your options for ordering additional bins and provide you with information on what goes into each bin.
