Portmarnock Tidiest Estate 2019

The presentation of awards for Portmarnock Tidiest Estate 2019 sponsored by Greyhound Recycling took place at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on Tuesday 24th September. The competition organised by Portmarnock Tidy Towns attracted a large entry. The Awards were presented by Cllr. Eoghan O’Brien Mayor of Fingal.

The standard was extremely high. In addition to Greyhound Recycling, the judges also thanked Portmarnock Village Traders Association and Fingal County Council for their efforts in making Portmarnock such a great village

The Tidy Towns in Portmarnock encouraged more residents to join them in improving the village.

The competition ran from June 1st to August 1st. Many estates around Portmarnock got involved in the competition for the tidiest estate. They were judged on communal areas (50%) and houses/gardens (50%)

The winning estate receives €500 to spend on common areas, a free skip for a clean up and a winner’s plaque for placement at the entrance to the estate. The two runners-up receive €250  free skip each and a plague.
