Greyhound commercial had cause to celebrate recently after they awarded the waste contract for the Jervis Shopping Centre on a 2-year deal.

Greyhound’s winning tender was selected for several factors which made it stand out from its competitors. One of these factors was Greyhounds commitment to work with management and tenants to make Jervis Ireland’s Greenest Centre.

A dedicated waste segregation area was established in the basement of the centre where tenants can bring all their different waste streams to be sorted and put into different bins by the on-site Greyhound waste operative. All new signs and bins were put into this area to clearly show tenants which bins their waste goes into so recycling levels are maximised.

Greyhound is Ireland’s leading waste to energy to company. In 2018 we re-used/recycled 98% of the waste we collected from businesses and homes across Dublin.

Speaking on the winner tender Greyhound’s Group Head Of Sales Garreth Ritchie said

‘ We are delighted to be working with an iconic Dubin landmark site such as the Jervis to make them one of the best centre’s in Ireland for recycling levels. We are collecting all waste streams 7 nights a week which means there is not too many bins on site or any bins with waste in them longer than 24 hours. We would like to thank the Centre Management for this wonderful opportunity and we really look forward to working with management and tenants in achieving the goals we set out in our tender’ – Garreth Ritchie.
