AMCS Accreditation

We are proud to say that all of the weighing equipment on our trucks has recently been tested and re-certified by AMCS.

The AMCS Accreditation demonstrates that all of the weighing instruments on our vehicles have passed NSAI verified re-qualification tests and are in compliance with the Legal Metrology (General) Regulations 2008 (S.I No 323 of 2008).

Legal Metrology is primarily concerned with the accuracy of measurements especially where these have influence on the transparency of an economic transaction.

NSAI Legal Metrology uphold and enforce accuracy and transparency in trade measures by certifying and inspecting measuring instruments used by traders and by inspecting prepackaged goods to ensure correct quantities. The equipment calibration tests are carried out by AMCS on our trucks on an annual basis. Re-certification can also occur on an adhoc basis should there be a mechanical or technical issue with the weighing equipment on any of our trucks.

A qualified and approved NSAI engineer always carries out the tests.
