The new Pay by Weight legislation is due to be implemented by the Government in July 2016.

The regulations are aimed at allowing you to take control of your waste bills by implementing a per kilo price on the weight of each bin. Basically, the more effectively that you segregate your waste, the lower your charges will be!

Analysis from the Department of Environment suggests that nearly 90{274956ee188766cffa9fd13544fc92af19ef135eba77b9fbaa514036943a2328} of households should see a reduction in their waste charges, whilst some should see no increase at all. Read more on this research.
